A 23-year-old by name Mabel Kogle Banaamwine, was crowned the winner of Face of Northern Ghana.
The pageant is an initiative that aims at raising a group of independent and inspirational young women from the northern regions of Ghana.
Banaamwine's story was mooted to YEN.com.gh by Samira Iddrisu, who is a friend. Apparently, the beauty queen is looking to have major social impact with her platform.
Banaamwine's agenda is focused domestic violence against children and women. It is thought a wider knowledge of her agenda would be appreciated.

Most often than not, beauty queens in Ghana engage in various charity activities so as to raise their profile. They also use it as means to reach out to the underprivileged.
It would seem that in this case, the winner of the Northern Face of Ghana is no different.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh is in possession of a video in which some residents of Adidome in the Volta Region are seen fetching water from a tree.
In the video, the tall tree which is called “Kporkplor” in the Ewe language, has an outlet from which water flows just like a tap.
