YEN.com.gh has gathered that the Ho District Police Command has rescued a 17-year-old senior high school student after she was kidnapped by some persons for a day or so.

Ghanaweb.com initially carried the report from Albert Kuzor who indicated that the young woman, a student of the Sunrise Senior High School had gone missing on Monday, January 21, 2019.

She was reportedly kidnapped after boarding a taxi around the Ho SSNIT housing flats in the Volta region.

Her name has been withheld for very understandable reasons but at the time of going to press, she was reportedly visibly traumatised, barely able to narrate what had transpired.

However, an aunt of the student, Beatrice Dzorvakpor, was thankful the police had brought her niece home.

The young girl's aunt continued that after more than two hours, she started calling her niece's number but there was no response until the phone went off.

Dzorvakpor added that since it was unusual of her niece to not answer phone calls, she decided to check up with someone at the bank to verify if she had been there.
