- Investigations will soon commence into the disappearance of Augustina, a first year student of Tarkwa Senior High School
- Augustina went missing after taking a two-day permission of absence from the school
- It is however uncertain if she has been kidnapped
A first-year student of Tarkwa Senior High School (SHS), Augustina, has reportedly gone missing after taking a two-day exeat (permission of absence) known from the school.
YEN.com.gh understands that she sought permission to visit her parents, but neither reached home nor returned to the school.
Starrfmonline reports that it is yet to be concluded that Augustina has been kidnapped by unknown people.
The assistant head teacher of the school, Isaac Sowah, disclosed that the matter had been reported to both the Tarkwa Police Command and the family of the missing student.
He added that the school’s authorities are waiting for the police to begin investigations into the matter.
Information available to YEN.com.gh shows that a week ago, another girl, Maame Darkoa Anomah, was allegedly kidnapped at West Tanokrom in the Western Region.
Darkoa’s abductor allegedly warned the family not to report the matter to the police, as there would be consequences if they did.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported of another case of a 17-year-old missing student of the Sunrise Senior High School (SHS), who was rescued by the police after she was kidnapped.
She was picked up by unknown people after boarding a taxi around the Ho SSNIT housing flats.
