A former national treasurer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Alhaji Abdullah Ahmed Abdulla, has revealed the reason behind his decision to quit politics.

Explaining his decision, he said that lies being propagated by some NDC members have forced him to prematurely retire.

In his opinion, the conduct of the “neophytes” who “think they have arrived” has the potential of destroying the party, if the current executives fail to deal with the situation.
Speaking on Otec FM, he disclosed that politics fed so much on him and not the other way round.
Abdulla added that he had invested a lot of resources into the NDC simply because he was committed to its growth.
He however went on to say that his sacrifices, both in cash and kind, appear to have gone down the drain, because some people have resorted to lies.
Alhaji PMC, as he is popularly called in the political circles, was recently accused of colluding with Benjamin Kunbuor, Former President Jerry John Rawlings and Koko Anyidoho to establish a splinter political party.
Reacting to the claim, he said it was a lie that was being fuelled within the party by hungry babies with sharp teeth who had been given crumbs to propagate such falsehood.
