In Ghana, there is a special reverence for the dead unlike many other places in the world. This reverence often sees family conducting of very elaborate burial and funeral ceremonies for the dead.
One of the most important things in the conduct of a funeral is the type of coffin/casket one is buried in. For some, families prefer to send them on their way to meet their maker in coffins depicting their occupations.
While this practice had been around for a long time, it has become more popular these days. One often sees coffins made like pepper, microphone, guitar, car and other such items to tell the stories of the ones being buried.
A carpenter has, however, caused a stir on social media with his decision to make a coffin for 'womanisers.'
In a photo sighted by YEN.com.gh which is fast going viral, the carpenter made a coffin in the form of the male private organ.
Information making rounds indicates that the carpenter who designed the controversial coffin is from Teshie in Accra.
The majority of Ghanaians have shared their views on the viral photo of the coffin with some making fun of the design and the motive behind it.
The photo has got some social media users giving very different reactions.
Nana Dwomoh thought it was creative and asked the carpenter to design for women too:
Mike was wondering if they did a naming ceremony for the carpenter:
Danny sounded perplexed by the photo:
