- She explained that it finally confirms the fact that Menzgold was engaged in some fraudulent activities
The lawyer representing aggrieved clients of Menzgold Ghana Limited, Amanda Clinton, has stated that the decision of the Economic and Organized Crimes Office (EOCO) to freeze the properties of the company is a step in the right direction.
According to her, it is welcoming news, as the customers continuously fight for a retrieval of their investments.
Citinewsroom.com reports that Clinton, sharing her opinion on the matter, explained that the action confirms the perception that the company engaged in fraudulent dealings.

In her opinion, it establishes the fact that a crime has been committed, and that reinforces the claims of the customers.
Clinton went on to say that the high public interest in the Menzgold scandal will compel the government to identify the properties owned by Nana Appiah Mensah, the chief executive officer (CEO) of the company.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported that EOCO secured a court order on Tuesday, January 2019 to freeze the properties of Menzgold, as well as other related companies.
EOCO further admonished all employees of the Menzgold, as well as Mensah’s family and friends to surrender all company properties in their possession to EOCO.
Failure to do so, YEN.com.gh understands, will constitute contempt of court, which will attract the appropriate sanctions
