Paul Pogba finally opens up on what went wrong in Man United's frustrating draw against Burnley

- Burnley ended Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's winning streak after forcing Man United to a 2-2 draw

- United had to come from two goals down to salvage a point against the Clarets

- Pogba has now taken some time out to explain what went wrong in the disappointing fixture

Manchester United star, Paul Pogba, has opened up on what went wrong in his side's frustrating 2-2 draw against Burnley on Tuesday night, January 29.

United had to come from two goals down to force the draw in the dying minutes of the match played at Old Trafford.

Ashley Barnes opened Burnley's scoring in the 51st minute before Chris Wood doubling the lead nine minutes to stoppage time.

Sean Dyche's men looked sent for an impressive victory away from home, but two late goals from Pogba and Victor Lindelof shattered their dream to finish the match 2-2.

The result effectively ended Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's winning streak since taking over as United manager on interim basis in December 2018.

Solskjaer has collected spectacular seven wins from eight matches, including away victories against Tottenham Hotspurs and Arsenal.

However, reacting to their frustrating draw against Burnley, Pogba asserted that United started the match sluggishly in the opening exchanges and ended up paying the ultimate price.

“Like the manager said, you have to start strong and be aggressive because that’s what they were in the first half. We played like we were winning 1-0 or 2-0, that’s where we went wrong," BBC quoted the French midfielder.
"We have to learn from our mistakes and next time start the game differently," he added.

Pogba's sentiments were reiterated by Solskjaer who further added that the result left the fans disappointed.

“We disappointed ourselves and we disappointed the crowd today, but the ones who stayed had a typical Old Trafford finish to the game so that was a big plus," he said.

The Red Devils remain sixth on the Premier League standings with 45 points, two behind Arsenal who won 2-1 against Cardiff City.
