The Ghana police service has issued new criminal summons against Dr Dominic Kwame Obeng-Andoh, owner of the infamous Obengfo Hospital at Weija in Accra.
These new charges come just a week after the doctor was discharged for want of prosecution by an Accra circuit court on January 23, 2019.
The police on Monday, January 28, filed their new summons perhaps in light of new evidence that has come to light.
Adomonline.com reports that the police intends to secure the summons for Dr Obeng-Andoh to be served soon so that he can appear again before a court of law.
The doctor is expected to appear before a different circuit court by next week, a source told Adomonline.com.
Dr Obeng-Andoh is in court after the state charged him for operating illegally. The Ghana Medical and Dental Council had reported him to the police in December of 2016.
It has to be noted that Dr Obeng-Andoh, who is also known as Obengfo, is in court for another crime where he has been charged with murder.
It follows the death of Stacy Offei Darko, former deputy chief executive ffficer of National Entrepreneurship Innovation Programme (NEIP) who visited his medical facility at Weija, Accra.
The medical facility advertised that its owner had expertise in surgery that could sculpt the body of clients. Some women in showbiz were thought to have visited the establishment.
Some of these women include Moesha Boduong, Fella Makafui and Joselyn Dumas.
