Renowned fetish priest, Kwaku Bonsam, has revealed the whopping sum he invested with embattled gold firm, Menzgold Ghana Limited.
According to him, his GHC50,000 has been locked up at the embattled gold hub.
In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Kasapafmonline.com, Kwaku Bonsam said he invested GHC400,000 with Menzgold but was quick to withdraw about 85 percent of the money before the company halted payment.
“I was home when Afia Shwarznegger called me and I asked why then she said come with me to Menzgold let’s go and collect our money meanwhile at that time, the issues had not started so I told her to give me time to look into it first," he told Kasapa FM.
"I then quickly went there to take my money but I was given 350,000 and was told to come back another day for the remaining 50,000 but when the issues started I couldn’t go because others with more money than mine were even not complaining.”
Nana Appiah Mensah popularly known as NAM1 for the past months has been in the news after his firm, Menzgold was ordered to halt operations by the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Following SEC’s directive, NAM1’s company has failed to pay his clients their dividends.
He was declared wanted by INERPOL after being charged with defrauding under false pretenses.
NAM1 is currently in Dubai facing charges of misdemeanor and he is set to make his next court appearance by February 4, 2019.
