Midland assault victim goes to court over police officer’s release

- Patience Sarfo, the woman assaulted by a police officer, Frederick Amanor, has gone back to court

- She is demanding justice after Amanor was discharged by an Accra Circuit Court

Patience Sarfo, the nursing mother who was assaulted by Lance Corporal Frederick Amanor at the Shiashie branch of the Midland Saving and Loans Company, has gone back to court.

YEN.com.gh understands that she is raising objections to the discharge of Amanor by an Accra Circuit Court.

Amanor was left off the hook because Sarfo allegedly failed to assist in investigating the matter.

Information available suggests that Amanor has resumed his duties, a development that Sarfo is not happy with.

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that three employees of the company were also discharged by the court for the same reason.

Sarfo was however compensated with a house after the incident, as the matter attracted varied comments from a cross-section of Ghanaians.

Myjoyonline.com reports that her lawyers have however gone back to court to demand justice for her.
