Cristiano Ronaldo took to the social media to reveal how he recovered after Juventus were dumped out of the Coppa Italia after Atalanta‘s 3-0 bashing on Wednesday, January 30, 2019.
The Portuguese star uploaded a photo on his Instagram enjoying a bath moments after the game along with a short message.
“Recovery time. Good night everyone.”
Ronaldo was in action all 90 minutes as the Bianconeri were sent packing from the Coppa Italia at the quarter-finals stage.
Atalanta netted twice in the first stanza before Duvan Zapata completed his brace and Nerazzurri’s third to kill off any hope of comeback from Juventus in the second stanza.
Interestingly, Juventus have won the Coppa Italia for four successive years since in 2014, with Napoli the other side to taste success in the competition.
The Massimo Algeria tutored-side still leads the Serie A log by 11 points despite bowing out of the cup race.
On the other hand, Ronaldo is currently second highest goalscorer in the league topscorer chart with 15 goals, just one behind Sampdoria’s Fabio Quagliarella.
Since arriving Juventus last summer from Real Madrid, Ronaldo has netted 17 times in 29 games across in all competitions.
Ronaldo claimed the Champions League and Ballon d’Or four times each at Real Madrid.
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported that Atalanta defeated Coppa Italia holders Juventus 3-0 in a tough quarterfinal clash on Wednesday, January 30, at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.
Atalanta were in the front foot from the start, but Giorgio Chiellini needed his experience to execute a last-minute tackle on Duvan Zapata, while Wojciech Szczesny punched to safety a Papu Gomez effort heading for the far post.
