Teen Kumawood actress and singer, Maame Yaa Jackson, has stated that she played more shows during the 2018 Christmas season than Dancehall stalwart Shatta Wale.
According to her, she played so many during the season Christmas season that she even lost count.
Speaking on her music journey so far during an interview on Peace FM’s entertainment review show on Saturday, the 19-year-old stated that her journey has been very tough especially during the last Christmas where she got so busy.
Giving a glimpse of how busy she was during the festive season, Jackson claimed that she played a show in Kumasi and took a flight to Accra to perform another show and then back to Kumasi on a flight to do her second show there.
This experience, she added, was so tiring that it made her contemplate quitting music.
"I can say I played more shows than Shatta this Christmas," she stated.
While it is difficult to know if Jackson's claim is true, it is no secret that she likes to remain in the media limelight with controversial statements.
The singer, a daughter of a popular Kumawood movie director, Jackson K. Bentum, burst onto the scene as a child actor alongside her contemporary, Maame Serwaa, over 10 years ago before branching into music last year.
Jackson has since becoming a singer been in the news always for outrageous claims including on that she dated and dumped a Member of Parliament who was grown enough to be her father.
