In a Facebook post, Mahama thanked the NDC executives and supporters in the various constituencies for supporting his campaign.

He urged all delegates to vote for him as the party prepares to go to the polls to elect its flagbearer.

I cannot thank you, our hardworking branch, constituency and regional executives, party supporters and well wishers, security personnel, drivers and all, enough for my successful tour of all 275 constituencies.

“Thank you all very much, and remember to Vote #3 for me, John Mahama, on February 23,” Mahama wrote on his Facebook page.

The NDC will go to the polls on February 23, 2019 time to elect its flagbearer for the 2020 general elections.

The first slot was, however, picked by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Nadowli-Kaleo, Alban Bagbin.

Businessman Nurudeen Iddrisu, who is also in the running to become the NDC’s presidential candidate, picked the second slot.

Sylvester Mensah, Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, Goosie Tanoh and Prof. Joshua Alabi picked the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh slots respectively.
