- Mohamed Salah beats Pogba, De Gea, Rashford, Sane and Denney to win fans best player for January
- The Liverpool scored three goals in four matches in topflight matches in the Premier League in the New Year
- The Egypt international is currently the league top goalscorer with 16 followed by Aubameyang and Aguero
Mohamed Salah has added another feather in his cap as he has been named the PFA Premier League Player of the Month for January.
The Liverpool striker beat the likes of David de Gea, Paul Pogba, Marcus Rashford, Troy Deeney and Leroy Sane to win the award for a second month in a row.
The Egypt international has found the back of the net three times in four top-flight appearances for the Reds in January.
The current Premier League top scorer is also leading the pack for another Golden Boot award this season with 16 goals this season ahead of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sergio Aguero who both have 15.
The 27-year-old will be looking to add to his goal-tally when Jurgen Klopp's side take on West Ham at the London Stadium on Monday, February 4.
The lead at the top has been reduced to two points following Manchester City's 3-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates.
But a win for the Merseyside club will restore the lead back to five points as the Anfield giants are firmly in contention for their first Premier League title since 1990.
Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh had earlier reported Jurgen Klopp defends Mohamed Salah's diving claims of late saying the player himself knows it is unacceptable.
The German tactician responded to claims that the current Premier League top goalscorer is a cheat after being awarded controversial penalties in recent games.
