A YEN.com.gh reader on Facebook has fired a salvo at Ghana's Minister of Education, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh over the minister's prediction that John Mahama will lose presidential elections "100 times" over.
Dr Prempeh, popularly known as Napo, had been quoted by Adomonline.com as saying: “Mr. Mahama cannot become president of Ghana again. He lost miserably as National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer to President Akufo-Addo in 2016.
And he is currently making frantic efforts to become the flagbearer of the NDC for the 2020 national election”.
“Mr. Mahama will lose 100 times if the NDC decides to present him as flagbearer 100 times”.
YEN.com.gh posted the comments on Facebook but a reader, Bashiru Chukwuma Issah, did not take kindly to the minister's comments.
Issah replied: "Your nose will open 1000 times".
The response garnered a lot of reactions from other Facebook users. It would seem a lot of people are not fond of either the comments or the minister himself.
In other news, former president John Dramani Mahama has paid tribute to all executives and supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) following his successful nationwide campaign tour.
Mahama embarked on a nationwide campaign tour last year, which saw him move around all 275 constituencies around the country.
The ex-president finally brought his tour to an end in the Volta Region, having campaigned across the other nine regions.
