Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central constituency, Kennedy Agyapong, has rubbished concerns expressed by the family of murdered Tiger Eye PI journalist, Ahmed Hussein-Suale while threatening to release more videos of the deceased.
Agyapong issued his warning after family of the late investigative journalist had told him to back off from making further public comments regarding their deceased relative.
But on a TV show earlier in the week, Agyapong was quoted as saying: “What have I said that is irritating them? I don’t understand.
Nobody can threaten me. Something I have not done, I will not sit down allow someone to accuse me of it. If they joke I will show more videos of the guy.”
The lawmaker added that although he had sympathies for the loss of Hussein-Suale, he would not be cowed into submitting to the family's orders.
Agyapong described the family's Monday, January 4, 2019 press conference as rather "silly".
Hussein-Suale's family had observed that the constant comments about him from the lawmaker had been "derogatory", and that it is causing them pain.
They added that they would likely respond in equal measure if Agyapong did not stop stating that he had placed a GHC 100,000 bounty on the heads of Hussein-Suale’s killers.
The family of the deceased felt the bounty was “deceptive” and an attempt to use diversionary tactics “to change the face of the investigations”.
But the Assin Central MP called the family's bluff indicating that he owed them nothing.
He went on to accuse the New Crusading Guide Newspaper of pursuing a diabolic agenda against him with publications calling on the government to put him to check.
