The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo-Prampram, Sam George, has given a seven-day ultimatum to two ministers and two others to apologize to him.
Peacefmonline.com reports that the people named are Bryan Acheampong, minister of state in charge of national security, Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, minister for Information, a deputy director of communication of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Capt Budu Koomson (rtd), a security analyst.
YEN.com.gh understands that George is demanding an apology from the four people, even though the exact circumstances surrounding his demand appear to be unclear.
According to him, the four, had on various platforms, accused him of leading about 15 motorbikes to the La-Bawaleshie Presby school polling station during the by-election at Ayawaso West Wuogon.
He however denied the allegation and added that he has officially written to the all the people involved in defaming him.
He added that in the event of their failure to do so, he may resort to legal action against them.
Reports of violence were allegedly recorded during the by-election held on Thursday, January 31, 2019.
On that day, a video showed a man in military uniform assaulting George, an issue that attracted comments from a cross-section of Ghanaians.
