Ghanaians attack Lydia Alhassan for her visit to the victims of the violence

The newly-elected parliamentarian for the constituency of Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has visited victims of the violence of January 31, 2019, who were wounded by gunshots from masked men alleged to be National Security operatives.

In a Facebook post sighted by YEN.com.gh, the lawmaker, popularly known as Maa Lydia, was seen in photos talking to a man lying in a hospital bed.

Accompanying her were the deputy minister of information, Pius Hadzidze and the national organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Awuku.

Social media users have however reacted to her visits to the hospital

Kekeli says the constituents need justice and not a cash compensation.

Milord simply called her a hypocrite.
