Former Ghana Football Association president, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has indicated that some people at the GFA helped Anas Aremeyaw Anas to destroy him.
According to Nyantakyi, his enemies at the GFA sponsored Anas' 'Number 12' video with $400,000.
"People at the FA who wanted to see my back sponsored Anas exposé with $400,000 to do what they did," he told Net 2 television.
"Yes, it was $400,000. What he did was sponsored. The so-called investigation."
The video which was released by the the investigative journalist in June 2018 saw Nyantakyi taking $65,000 purported to be a bribe.
But Nyantakyi has insisted the footage was doctored to falsely incriminate him.
Before Anas' exposé, Nyantakyi was the GFA president and the CAF 1st vice-president but had to quit the two posts following the documentary.
Nyantakyi, who was one of African football's most powerful figures, has also been slapped with a lifetime ban by FIFA for breaking bribery and corruption rules.
The adjudicatory chamber of FIFA's ethics committee said the ban for life applied to "all football-related activities at both national and international levels".
