Yvonne Nelson calls herself and John Dumelo future presidential candidates (Photo)
Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has touted herself as a future presidential candidate.
In a photo sighted by YEN.com.gh on Instagram, Yvonne had posed with John Dumelo holding her waist.
In her caption, Yvonne wrote that she and Dumelo were both “future presidential candidates”.

In the photo, it appears the two movie stars were attending an event in Accra, where they posed together for the cameras.
Yvonne’s declaration has garnered many reactions from her fans and followers.
For instance, Queen, an Instagram user, assured Yvonne and Dumelo of her support in their political ambition:

Dumelo also commented with one of his Instagram handles with an "amen" to Yvonne’s post:
johndumelo1: “Amen oooo!!!!! .”

Zara said he would vote for Dumelo:
zara_kofi_melo: “My vote for john @yvonnenelsongh ❤️.”
Esi said she would vote for both Yvonne and Dumelo:
mizz_esi: “With you two, I'll always spoil my vote. Cos I'll always vote for the two of you at the same time. My favourite two @yvonnenelsongh n @johndumelo1 ❤️❤️.”
However, another fan, Leslie, disagreed with Yvonne Nelson’s post.
According to him, having fame doesn’t necessarily qualify one to become a president, adding that “ability is key”.
leslie_yada_boogie: “Sorry, but Ghana deserves better!!! Having fame should never be the reason to run for office... Ability is key....”

Meanwhile, Yvonne Nelson, has long been labeled as an NPP member and supporter, though she herself has not stated that specifically.
This follows her display of affection for the NPP when it was in opposition.
Yvonne led a ‘dumsor’ vigil against former president Mahama and the NDC in 2016.
This made many people believe that she had affiliations with the NPP.
She has recently complained that the NPP does not care about her after that "dumsor" vigil.

John Dumelo, on the other hand, is a known NDC member and supporter.
Therefore, if Yvonne has declared the both of them as future presidential candidates, then it only means that she would be facing Dumelo from the NPP side.
Dumelo recently decried how some celebrities were being victimised because of their political preferences.
He has also been in the news following reports of former AIDS ambassador, Dzidzor Mensah, releasing photos of the two of them kissing.
