A woman has cried over losing her 10-year-old marriage over a GHC200K investment she made with embattled gold dealership firm Menzgold.
According to the woman, her husband said he was no longer interested in their marriage, labeling her Menzgold investment as a “wrong deal”.
Aside from painfully losing her marriage, the woman disclosed sadly that she was on the verge of going blind.
This, she explained, is because she had issues with her eyes, but due to her money being locked up at Menzgold, she was not getting any support to treat her eye illness.
Her husband, on the other hand, has also refused to help her with taking care of the problem, all because of the GH₵200,000 cedis locked up cash.
This is contained in a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanaweb.com.
“My husband has asked me to go and marry another man because he is no longer happy with me…I am currently searching for money to attend to my medical needs but I am not getting anyone to support me. I am literally going blind and had to be dragged here by someone” the woman wept sadly.
According to bewildered woman, she would have been dead by now if not for God’s intervention.
She explained that her ill-health took a bad twist soon after Menzgold’s woes started, calling on President Akufo-Addo to come to her aid.
“I invested GH¢200,000 and this has struck me with sickness. If not for God’s protection, I would have been buried long ago. I really do not know what I am doing now, it is just by the grace of God I am still surviving. Nana Akufo-Addo should come to our aid because what my children and I will feed on has now become a major challenge," she cried.
EOCO has also directed all employees, friends, associates and family members of NAM1 to return all assets he has given to them.
Meanwhile, the EOCO boss, K.K. Amoah, has been accused of benefiting from NAM1’s riches.
Amoah has been accused of collecting huge sums of money and mobile phones from NAM1.
However, a press statement from EOCO has labeled the allegations as false.
NAM1 is currently in police custody in Dubai where he is standing trial for fraud accusations.
