Dancehall artiste Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, popularly known as Ebony Reigns, may be dead but her legacy still lives.
The budding singer passed on exactly a year ago after she was involved in a fatal car crash.
The talented artiste died together with her best friend and military guard after their car rammed into another.
The accident which claimed the life of the late singer is reported to have happened on the Sunyani-Kumasi highway.
As we mark the one-year anniversary of Ebony’s death, let’s take a look at some things that we have missed about her.
1. Her liveliness
The late Ebony Reigns was an easy-going girl. In fact, she was one of the liveliest artistes you’d come across.
The Sponsor hitmaker was always lively with others, and that endeared her to most people in the media space.
Her liveliness is one of the main reasons why she was loved by majority of the youth. Ebony was always ready to grace the various university campuses to thrill the students. We certainly miss this.
2. Her songs
When the name Ebony is mentioned anywhere, the first thing that comes to mind is the type of songs she made.
At 20 years old, Ebony was already a trailblazer in the Ghana music industry with her numerous hit songs being played on both radio and television.
Songs like Kupe, Sponsor, Maame Hwe and Aseda were all bangers and were loved by Ghanaians. Since her demise, we have definitely missed her songs.

3. Her controversial nature
Ebony was a fantastic artiste, but her package came with a lot of controversy too. The dancehall singer often made the headlines.
She was controversial, but it was good controversy. She never stepped on anyone’s toes; she only focused on doing her own thing.
She had a way of making us love her controversies and that is typified by the kind of titles she always chose for her songs. Many people certainly miss her for that too.
4. Her open-mindedness
Aside all the songs and controversial performances she exhibited, Ebony was a very open-minded person.
She always knew what she wanted, but was never quick to brush off the opinions of others. If there’s anything we miss, it is a strong character.
This is a lady who was often criticised for her way of doing things but she always had a way of calmly weathering over the storm.
