An unidentified man was almost lynched by a mob after being accused by his wife of attempting to take his own children away.
According to Starrfm.com.gh, incident occurred on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Takoradi in the Western Region.
YEN.com.gh understands that the man intended to walk out of the marriage with his children and his Sierra Leonean wife.
His wife however raised an alarm that the children, who are all female, were being kidnapped.
The angry woman forced herself into the vehicle the man and daughters were travelling on, and started shouting when they reached Fijai, another town in the region.
A mob subsequently accosted the car, and but for the timely intervention of the police, almost lynched the man.
The matter was reported to the Effiakuma police station, but the mob besieged the station, demanding that the man be released to them.
YEN.com.gh earlier reported of a number of kidnaps in various parts of the country, and some of the victims are yet to be found.
