Bawumia's convoy involved in fatal accident

Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia’s convoy has been involved in fatal accident at Asemasa near Beposo in the Western Region.

In a report sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanaweb.com, an urvan bus reportedly ran into one of the vehicles in the convoy resulting in the accident.

The driver of the urvan bus has been confirmed dead.

Some other passengers and security persons who were injured have been conveyed to the Cape Coast Regional Hospital and are said to be responding to treatment.

The Vice President was returning from activities in the Western Region when the incident occurred.

Bawumian's spokes person Gideon Boako in confirming the news said, "The Vice President’s thoughts and prayers are with the injured and the family of the deceased."
