Former HIV-AIDS Ambassador Joyce Mensah Dzidzor has gone begging on a train in Germany in a bid to raise funds for the construction of Ghana’s National Cathedral.
Mrs. Dzidzor shared a video in which she was sarcastically telling the Germans that Ghana does not know its priorities.
In the video, she said Ghana is a poor country that lacks potable water and enough food but wants to build a Cathedral.

She further mocked President Akufo-Addo, saying the President believes erecting a Cathedral will solve all of Ghana’s problems.
She asked the Germans on board the train to donate between €50 and €100 to support Ghana’s cause.
The fundraising for the much talked about cathedral was officially launched in 2018 at the forecourt of the State House.
President Akufo-Addo attended the fundraising dinner as special guest of honour, with Hollywood star Idris Elba and international model Naomi Campbell also gracing the event.
In 2017, the government revealed plans to construct a National Cathedral to serve as a national non-denominational Christian worship center.
However, the decision has been widely criticised by a section of Ghanaians who believe it’s a misplaced priority.
There were also concerns raised after it emerged that some 14 judges have to be evacuated from their homes to make way for the construction of the cathedral.
President Akufo-Addo has, however, defended his administration’s decision to go ahead with the project despite the criticisms.
