Ebony's father wants February 16 marked Jollof Day to remember his daughter

Father of the late Ghanaian musician, Ebony has said that since Martin Luther King lives on, her daughter can also be made to live on.

Mr. Opoku-Kwarteng popularly called Starboy Kwarteng in an interview with Joy News revealed that he wants Ebony's birthday to be remembered and celebrated using jollof rice.

Starboy Kwarteng said jollof rice was the favorite food of Ebony when she was alive, thus he wants his daughter to be remembered and celebrated on February 16 every year.

"As for me and my family, we will remember the queen every year with jollof rice so I will invite people to my residence to dine and celebrate Ebony with me," he said.

On Saturday, February 16, 2019, Ebony's father, mother, siblings, friends and fans were invited to the residence of Starboy Kwarteng to commemorate the late singer.

On Friday, March 8, 2019, Ghanaians marked the 1st anniversary of the passing of Ebony, known in real life as Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng.

But the actual event to mark the anniversary has been slated for March 31, 2019 as revealed by Mr. Kwarteng.

He noted that an event will be staged in Dansoman where a series of activities will be undertaken to mark the anniversary.
