Founder of the Glorious Wave Church International, Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, has prophesied that Nigeria’s postponed elections could be hit by violence.
Preaching to his congregation, he said the upcoming election will be a “do or die” affair.
Nigeria’s general election was initially scheduled for Saturday, February 16, 2019, but was postponed just hours before the D-day.
The presidential election has since been postponed to February 23, 2019, to the dismay of many Nigerians.
Prophet Badu Kobi said the election will be keenly contested and warned that it could lead to violence.
According to him, the violence could be caused by clashes between the ruling APC and the opposition PDP.
"Nigeria, there's trouble ahead for your country. That election you think is coming to pass in February, there is a problem.
“So, Nigerians must pray otherwise these elections, it is do or die. And the opposition is never ready to give it to the ruling government," he said.
The prophet further prophesied that Nigeria’s Electoral Commissioner could lose his life in the process, if care is not taken.
He said the ruling APC plans to rig the elections and that is what could spark the violence.
"The ruling party of Nigeria wants to steal the elections from the North and it will be North fighting North. And the Electoral Commissioner who is on the side of the ruling party will have a problem. If he is not careful he will be killed," Prophet Badu Kobi added.
