Marriage in our Ghanaian society is one that has been branded as adding up to an individual's standing in the society.
While others have it easy finding partners to settle down and have a decent life with, others find it quite a daunting task to even find the right person to marry, especially looking out for what you would require in a spouse to make the marriage work.
Despite the 'hard work' that comes with getting spouses and even settling in with them, some women do things that knowingly or unknowingly break their marriages.
YEN.com.gh has however come up with a list of things women knowingly or unknowingly do that break their marriages.
1. Openly disrespecting your man
Traditionally, men are seen as the head of the home in every family setting. For a man to be openly disrespected by his spouse, does not augur well for love. Men would rather walk out of such a disrespectful marriage rather than stay to be talked to any how. Women need to respect their spouses no matter what.
2. Being untidy
In marriages, cleanliness is key to running the home. The fact that some men do not help in running the home, does not mean the house should be unkempt. Every woman must endeavor to make the home look spick and span.
3. Acting bossy
Even the Bible tasks women to be submissive in marriages. Submission is not slavery as some Ghanaian women see it to be. Because most married women are career women, they tend to develop certain 'wings' because they also contribute to the running of the home.
4. Keeping secrets
It is true some things are better left unsaid but in marriage, it is important to let your partners in on every activity that goes on in your life. Some secrets can be kept but the ones that bother on the marriage should not be kept to one person. A lot of women these days keep a lot of things from their husbands because of reasons best known to them. Some secrets break marriages. Take note!
