Ghanaian actor, John Dumelo has responded to a Twitter user who slammed him for visiting students of the University of Ghana on Valentine's Day.
After John Dumelo posted a video of himself revealing that he visited some girls in their hostel room on Val's Day, a Twitter user, Nana Ama Agyemang Asante slammed him.
In her tweet, Nana Ama who is a co-host on Citi FM's breakfast show described John Dumelo's visit as gross and predatory.
John Dumelo in an interview with Accra based radio station, Hitz FM responded to Nana Ama's rant.
John Dumelo revealed that he was disappointed in Nana Ama's tweet about his visit to the Legon campus.
John Dumelo added that he was not at the school playing with the ladies on their bed or fondling their breasts so he does not understand why Nana Ama will tweet such comments.
Furthermore, John Dumelo who is also a politician explained activities leading to his visit to the girls hostel like it was recorded in the video.
According to John, he was on the University of Ghana campus for a program which is not related to visiting the girls.
He noted that his visit became quite necessary after some of the female students asked that he come over to interact with them.
John revealed that the request made by the students urged him to go and have a chat with the girls in their hostel.
The actor described his action as normal and said he did not just bump into the girls hostel without any planning.
He described the visit as a friendly one with no bad intention since it was the girls who even invited him over.
John Dumelo noted that since he is a public figure, he thought it wise to interact with the ladies especially to show love on such a special day.
Meanwhile, Nana Ama Agyemang Asante received a backlash from a lot of Ghanaians for attacking John Dumelo in such a manner.
