An adolescent, Kojo Gilchris, has gone viral on social media platforms after a video surfaced of him rapping on issues facing the country.
In the video sighted by YEN.com.gh, Gilchris through his rap, touched on social justice, the police as well as the judicial system in Ghana. It is not clear how old he is but his age is proving to be no stumbling block.
As much as his rap skills got him to trend, the message he sent was quite powerful. It would seem not many expected a boy that young to rap that well.
“What is wrong with this country?” Gilchris asked, and then proceeded to talk about police brutality in the country.
He challenged law officers to do their job.
The subjects he chose to speak on are well too known to Ghanaians. They are perennial issues that the system has failed to address.
When some of the brutalities make headlines, it is hard for even the younger generation not to notice.
Gilchris is enjoying some praise, with his admirers now including actress Joselyn Dumas. There is no reason why they will not be more.
Earlier, YEN.com.gh reported the story of Jonah Larson, an 11-year-old crocheting genius.
The young Larson started with his passion when he was only 5-years-old. He had been adopted from an orphanage and his new parents were wondering what he could pick up to get going with his childhood.
He now has achieved so much fame that he teaches thousands of social media followers crocheting.
