The former Ashanti regional secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Joseph Yamin, has said he had no hand in the shooting to death of a supporter of the National Democratic Congress at the party’s office.
He believed some unknown persons in the party want to soil his image, adding that such agenda will not hold.
Speaking to newsmen after honoring an invitation by the Ashanti Regional Police, Yamin said he would be exonerated.
“My surprise is why my name will be brought into this matter… I’m surprised somebody came in here to report. We are here to know the person and the reason. I want my name cleared,” Yamin said.
The suspects, who are alleged to be members of the pro-NDC vigilante group, ‘The Hawks,’ are currently on the run.
