Video of guy printing fake Ghana cedis pops up online

It appears some Ghanaian(s) have acquired a money-making machine and are cutting their own paper notes.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, some faceless people are seen using the money-making machine to their own convenience.

Although the identities of the people behind this illegality are not yet known, they were cutting GHC20 notes.

The two minute 42-second video showed the guy(s) putting raw papers in the machine, which immediately gets processed into fake notes.

Ordinarily this should have come as a surprise to many, but many social media user rather chose to make jokes out of the act.

One guy wrote: “If the government can provide this machine like 10000 we can solve our own problem without consulting these foreign countries.”

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that five Ghanaians have been arrested in connection with internet fraud in the United States (US).

The five suspects all pleaded guilty to engaging in internet fraud, known locally as sakawa, with the hope of getting a lighter sentence.

They are alleged to have duped some US citizens of $10 million through business email compromises and romance scams between 2014 and 2018.
