Wendy Shay, the Ghanaian songstress often described as Ebony's replacement, is a year older. Shay turned 23 years on Wednesday, February 20, 2019.
To mark the occasion, the singer's record label, RuffTown Records, which is led by Ricky Nana Agyemang aka Bullet, organised a surprise birthday party for her.
The party which came off at the Kikibees Restaurant in Accra had many people including Wendy's family, colleague singers, industry players and other celebrities attending.
In photos and videos from the event sighted by YEN.com.gh, Shay appeared at the venue in a black top and down dress with white spots and seemed not to know what was really going on.

After realising that it was a surprise birthday party and that many people were present, Shay happily went about greeting and hugging those around.
The Uber Driver hitmaker was very excited as she met some of her colleague singers especially Kuami Eugene.
Apart from Kuami Eugene, KiDi was also spotted at the surprise party hanging out with actress and present, Efia Odo.
Also present to surprise Wendy Shay was Joy News TV presenter, Mz Gee, whose 'who is Wendy Shay?' question to the singer during an interview caused Shay to get angry.
