Sammy Gyamfi attacks media; calls Ghanaian journalists hypocrites
National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has slammed the “hypocrite” behaviour of some Ghanaian journalists.
According to him, it is shocking that media houses that did not agree to air leaked tapes in the past are suddenly so interested in transcribing and airing a tape which is supposedly related to the NDC.
He said most media outlets and journalists in Ghana have clearly shown by their actions that they are biased towards the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“These bunch of hypocrite journalist will never play leaked tapes on their shows so far as they have negative repercussions on the NPP.
“However, they are quick to play leaked tapes that involve the NDC like we are seeing today,” Sammy Gyamfi said on Accra-based Okay FM.
His comments were in relation to the circulation of a leaked tape attributed to the National Chairman of the NDC, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.
Mr. Ampofo has been under fire after an audio attributed to him leaked in the media.
The content of the leaked tape has drawn widespread criticism from a section of the public, with many condemning the NDC Chairman.
In the audio, he is heard saying many things, including urging verbal attacks on the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa.
Mr. Ampofo is also heard saying that party communicators are free to insult the Peace Council Chairman, Professor Emmanuel Asante.
Meanwhile, the NDC maintain that the said audio has been doctored and have subsequently denied its authenticity.
