The second edition of the Ghana Teachers Licensure Examination, has been fixed to be written throughout the country on March 25 and 26, 2019.
With the exception of the Upper West and Eastern regions where the candidates would be required to write the examination at the Nastra Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education and the SDA College of Education, respectively.
Other candidates in all the other regions would write the examination at the various regional centres of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

Speaking to the Daily Graphic, the Executive Secretary of the NTC, Dr Evelyn Owusu Oduro, said the examination was open to all teachers who held the Diploma in Basic Education (DBE), Bachelor of Education (BEd) or a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PDGE) and were desirous of seeking employment with the Ghana Education Service but could not register for the maiden licensure examination in September 2018.
Dr Oduro said all teachers who wrote the examination in 2018 but failed in one, two or all three papers were expected to register to re-sit the paper/papers in which they failed.
She said those who would be applying for the first time, as well as those who would be re-sitting all the three papers they wrote last year, would be required to pay GH¢220 to register for the examination, while those candidates re-sitting for one or two papers would be required to pay GH¢100.00 for each re-sit paper.
