Akufo-Addo reacts to former NDC chairman’s death

President Akufo-Addo has expressed his sadness over the death of former chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kwabena Adjei.

Taking to Facebook, a social media platform, he described the late politician as a friend he met in the second Parliament of the fourth republic.

Recalling Adjei’s time as majority leader in Parliament, he added that the NDC stalwart gave good leadership to the house.

Also described as a man of strong opinions, Adjei was seen as a formidable opponent whose interactions were viewed as enjoyable.

“His relationship with our “boss”, the late, great JH Mensah, then Minority Leader, provided a big boost for the work of Parliament and for the advancement of our democracy.

He will be missed. My condolences to his party, the National Democratic Congress, and to his family. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” Akufo-Addo concluded.
