A group of police officers have reportedly vandalised the home of Sani Mohammed, believed to be a member of the pro-opposition NDC Vigilante group, the ‘Hawks’.
Sani Mohammed, who was the 2013 winner of ‘Ghana’s Strongest’, is among those declared wanted over the shooting incident which happened at the NDC’s Ashanti regional office.
In February 2019, a violent scuffle at the NDC’s regional secretariat in Kumasi led to the death of one person.
One other person is reported to have sustained serious injury and was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.
The Ashanti Regional Police subsequently launched a manhunt for 12 suspects believed to be involved in the shooting incident.
The 2013 winner of ‘Ghana’s Strongest’, Sani Mohammed, was among those declared wanted by the Police.
Sani Mohammed was reportedly spotted at the crime scene on the day of the shooting incident.
Latest reports indicate that six suspected policemen in mufti stormed his residence at Kronum Afrancho to arrest him.
The policemen, however, decided to vandalise properties in his house upon not meeting him at home.
