National Security Minister threatens to sue Shatta Wale over alleged GH₵80,000 debt

Barring any last minute hitches, the Minister of National Security, Bryan Acheampong, would sue Dancehall musician Shatta Wale.

According to information sighted by YEN.com.gh on Ghanaweb.com, Shatta Wale owes Acheampong GH₵80,000, and has refused to pay for the past three months.

The report had it that Shatta Wale had collected that amount to perform at an event dubbed Bliss on the Hills in Kwaku last Christmas but he failed to do so.

The organisers of the event, which Bryan was part of, were said to have met all the demands Shatta Wale made.

His management team was said to have gone to the event grounds in the afternoon to collect the balance of his payment, but Shatta Wale refused to go there in the evening of the same day to perform.

A member of the organising team, Nabil Alhassan, is reported to have confirmed that Shatta Wale was paid fully.

“We paid him and in fact his management team came for the balance in the afternoon of the event day but Shatta Wale refused to show up that same night to perform as agreed,” Alhassan said.

YEN.com.gh, however, cannot verify these claims.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale has been in the news recently following a revelation he made that he was in love with an actress.

He was also in the news for confessing that he allowed his long-time girlfriend Shatta Michy to sleep with other men to raise money for him.
