According to the report, the three individuals have been charged with “conspiracy to commit crime with kidnapping intent, and conspiracy to commit crime with threat of harm”.

This was reportedly disclosed by the public relations officer of the Police CID, DSP Juliana Obeng.

The three, following the charge, have been thus asked to stop reporting themselves to the CID as was the initial agreement for probe in to their case.

This new development follows earlier reports about how the NDC chairman was allegedly captured on tape declaring the party’s intended method to capture power from the NPP in 2020.

On the alleged tape, Ofosu Ampofo was heard telling a group of the party members to harm political opponents, and also attack some officials including Jean Mensah, the chairperson of the Electoral Commission.

We must wage a relentless war on this EC Chair, me she doesn’t want to see my face . . .” he said among other things on the alleged tape.

He was thus criticised be well-meaning Ghanaians who called for probe into the leaked tape.

Meanwhile, YEN.com.gh earlier published how Kennedy Agyapong confessed to paying “big money” to an NDC person to obtain that particular voice recording to Ofosu Ampofo.
