The Public Relations Officer of the Accra Regional Police Command, DSP Effia Tenge has revealed that the commercial bus driver and conductor who beat up a police man have been arraigned before court, Monday, March 18, 2019.
DSP Tenge added that the police service was appalled by the bravado and lawlessness exhibited by the driver and mate.
She also added that the police is worried by the spare of lawlessness by the public especially by “drivers and motorists on the routes of Accra and to a larger extent the entire country”.
“The police administration and the regional command will like to state that this kind of growing lawlessness will not be countenanced and these people will be made to face the full rigors of the law.”
Explaining the circumstances surrounding the assault of the officer, DSP Effia Tenge said the incident occurred when the driver was stopped by the officer after he disobeyed road traffic laws.

The fight broke because the police man tried to arrest the driver of the commercial bus over a traffic offence.
