Obrafour reveals he had memory loss; spent months at 37 and Korle-Bu

Popular Ghanaian rapper and Hiplife guru, Michael Kwabena Okyere Darko, commonly known as Obrafour, has revealed how he suffered some sicknesses recently.

The rapper, who said he now wants to be known only as Rap Sofo, disclosed that he had to spend 3 months at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, and a month 37 Military Hospital, as a result of those sicknesses.

According to the report, the rapper said he suffered memory loss which landed him at 37.

Rap Sofo, in narrating what happened, reportedly said that he woke up one morning to brush his teeth, but realised that he could not move his body.

The doctors, he said, conducted series of tests on him only to find out that Rap Sofo had lost his memory.

Till now, the Pae Mu Ka hitmaker said he does not know what caused his memory loss.

I don’t know what happened. I woke up one morning, was going to brush my teeth and I realised I couldn’t move my hands.”

"So I was admitted at 37 Military Hospital for about a month; they did all they could, including brain scans but they couldn’t detect anything, but I came back,” Rap Sofo said.

He revealed further that another circumstance landed him at Korle Bu where he spent over 3 months on the hospital bed.

According to Rap Sofo, he fell on his neck, and that nearly sent him to his grave, but with the help of God, he bounced back.

To him, experiencing all of these and still being alive is a great miracle for him, and also, an indication that God was with him.

He believes that anyone in his situation would know what it means to be blessed, adding that it is not just having money and living the best life.

“When somebody has money and can afford anything, he thinks he’s blessed. But to me, it is the grace. God’s grace is sufficient,” Obrafour said.

“I have seen that God’s hands have been mighty because in all cases, Jesus came through for me”, he stated,” he added.

Meanwhile, in an earlier report by YEN.com.gh, the rapper said he does not want to be called Obrafour anymore.

He said he only wants to be known as Rap Sofo, explaining that he made that choice following a divine motivation.
