President Akufo-Addo has called for an aggressive fight by Ghanaians gainst lawlessness in the country.
Per a report by Citinewsroom.com, he stated that each citizen needs to be a “natural champion” of a law-based state.
The president made the appeal in an address at the launch of the E-justice project at the Law Complex in Accra.

He therefore charged the country’s judiciary to play its role effectively to help maintain law and order.
According to him, the judiciary must treat crimes such as vigilantism, corruption and fraud with utmost seriousness to rid the country of lawlessness.
Akufo-Addo’s comment comes in the wake of a viral video that shows a commercial bus driver and his conductor physically assaulting a uniformed police officer in Accra.
The incident is among the many in recent times that indicate public mistrust in the police and other law enforcement agencies following several incidents including police brutalization of citizens.
