Popular female musician Mzbel has disclosed that over the past few years, Ghanaian music was not making any sense to her until the emergency of three new artistes.
The three new artistes she mentioned are Kuami Eugene, Kidi, and Kwesi Arthur.
According to her, at a point, Ghanaians were introduced to some kind of music they were not used to, plunging the whole industry into a mess.
She added that Ghanaian music turned from something nice to “noise and anything that would trend”.
However, the aforementioned three individuals came to the rescue and salvaged the situation.
YEN.com.gh cannot tell how Mzbel regards the likes of Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, and others who have been acclaimed Ghana’s heavyweight musicians.
But some fans have seconded her opinion, and have described it as fact.
For instance, an Instgram user, Akua wrote that Mzbel’s assertion is a fact:
Dhianon also commented that Mzbel was speaking the truth:
dhianon_08: “So true.”
Kplorla also backed Mzbel’s views:
kplorla91: "She is talking about azonto surely lol ."
Meanwhile, the singer, who made her first hit somewhere in 2015 with 16 Years, said she is no longer releasing a new song until former president Mahama of the NDC wins power.
Mzbel was confident that Mahama would win the 2020 election so that she could revive her dying career again.
She is known for back to back hit songs including I’m in love featuring Ghanaian lost musician Castro, Saucy Girl, Ade dede, just to mention a few.
