Mensah, popularly known as NAM 1, is accused of misleading investors into buying into the business model of Menzgold, a now-defunct gold investment company.

Menzgold signed on thousands on investors with the promise of giving them between 7% to 12% on their capital investments every month.

But even before government would close down the company for illegal operations, Menzgold had failed to pay its customers their monthly allowances for about 3 months in the middle of 2018.

In 2017, NAM 1's entertainment and media company, Zylofon Media, signed on Shatta Wale as one of their many recording artistes. The list also included Joyce Blessing, Stonebwoy and Kumi Guitar.

These days, after the fall of Menzgold, the artistes seem like they are patiently waiting out the remainder of their contracts with Zylofon.
