The chief of Wassa Abreshia, Nana Amoah Bediako, has been arrested by the police for assaulting a police officer.
According to a report by Citinewsroom.com, he, together with some heavily built men, beat up the Wassa Akropong police station officer, Inspector Tetteh Agbanyo, and another police officer.
Police sources reveal that the incident occurred when Bediako, also known as Nana Kwasi Kumi, parked his vehicle at an unauthorized place in front of the police charge office.

The station officer, Inspector Tetteh Agbanyo, then told him to move the car and park at a right place to enable others have easy access to the charge office.
This however infuriated the chief and he allegedly slapped the station officer. He also held Agyanyo’s neck, tore his uniform, and destroyed his name tag and police badge.
An attempt by other officers to arrest him failed as they were prevented by another police officer, Deputy Inspector Alex Donkor.
