President Akufo-Addo commends Black Stars on win over Kenya
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has congratulated the Ghana Black Stars for winning their AFCON match against Kenya.
According to the president, the Black Stars and Ghana as a whole have completed phase one of the project.
In an Instagram post, President Akufo-Addo expressed his joy in the Black Stars win and urged them to win the ultimate at the upcoming African Cup of Nations.

"Warm congratulations to the players, coach Kwasi Appiah and his technical team, and the management team of the senior national football team, the Black Stars, on Saturday’s victory over Kenya" he wrote.
The president acknowledged the achievement that the Black Stars came top of their group in qualifying for the upcoming AFCON tournament.
He noted that coming out top is a great achievement but the Black Stars must win the African cup in Egypt to seal the joy.
"Phase 1 of the project, i.e. topping their AFCON qualifying group, has been realised. Now on to phase 2, that is winning the next AFCON tournament in Egypt," he urged.
President Akufo-Addo threw his support behind the Black Stars as he wrote that they are capable of winning the ultimate trophy in Egypt.

"I am confident we can make it, if we work at it. God bless the Black Stars." the president wrote in conclusion of his congratulatory message to the Black Stars.
Aside the congratulatory message, the president posted a beautiful photo of himself and the Black Stars team.
The president's message followed the Black Stars win over their Kenyan counterparts yesterday, March 23, 2019 at the Accra Sport Stadium.
The match was in qualification for the upcoming African Cup of Nations tournament slated for June 21 to July 19.
Egypt won the bid to host the tournament after CAF stripped Cameroun of the hosting right on the grounds that there were some security issues in the country currently.
