A resident in the area, K.O. Acquah, who narrowly escaped death, said many have been rendered homeless.

Acquah said the displaced residents were left with no option than to spend the night with friends and relatives after the devastation.

Though no casualties were recorded, he bemoaned how the situation had been a drawback for them, as the water level in some homes rose to neck level.

He therefore appealed to the government for support, as the situation had also disrupted electricity supply to the area.
