Armed robbers ‘force’ Banda resident to impose curfew on themselves

Information available to YEN.com.gh suggests that armed robbers have launched attacks on residents of the Banda district of the Bono East region.

This, according to Mynewsgh.com, has left residents in fear, and they remain indoors in order to protect lives and properties.

They are as a result, calling on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), David Asante Appeatu, to send help.

Speaking to Kwame Adinkra on Pure Morning Drive, the Chief Executive Officer of the Middle Belt Development, Hon. Joe Danquah complained that the residents, including himself, have been living in fear for almost two weeks.

He added that farmers, chiefs and market women have been attacked and robbed of their belongings at gunpoint by unidentified attackers.

He went on to say the police in the district, who appear incapacitated, have literally done nothing to ensure the safety of residents hence their resolve to stay indoors to protect their lives.
