Ghana's Under-23 male national team, the Black Meteors have qualified for the next round of the qualifiers for the CAF U-23 Cup of Nations.
This follows their 0-0 draw with their counterparts from Gabon at the Stade Augustin Monédan de Sibang in Libreville on Tuesday, March 26.
Having beaten the Young Panthers 4-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, March 23, the Meteors qualified on a 4-0 aggregate.
The Black Meteors coach Ibrahim Tanko made one change to his starting lineup that beat Gabonese 4-0 in the first leg.
Paderbon SC forward and second goal scorer in the Accra Bernard Tekpetey replaced Benjamin Tetteh.
While the Black Meteors dominated in the first half, they failed to find the net.
The Gabonese came into the second half very strongly after Simon Zibo had been sent off in the 55th minute but they also failed to score leaving the match to end in a stalemate.
The Black Meteors will meet Algeria in the next round to determine which of the two countries will head to the tournament.
Meanwhile, the senior national team, the Black Stars, defeated Mauritania 3-1 in a friendly played at the Accra Stadium on Tuesday.
