- Ghana will battle 23 other countries for this year's AFCON trophy
- The tournament will start from June 21 to July 19
On Sunday, March 24, 2019, the qualifiers for the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt came to an end.
Following a successful qualifiers, 24 countries including the host will be pitting their horns for the coveted trophy.
The upcoming championship will come off from June 21 to July 19 and will be completely new and attractive on many fronts.

Ghana, who have won the competition on four occasions sealed their qualification on Saturday March 22, 2019 after beating Kenya 1-0 to top Group F.
Aside Ghana and Egypt, other top countries the like Nigeria, Cameroon, Tunisia, Morocco, South Africa, Algeria, Ivory Coast and Senegal also sealed their qualifications.
Other countries like, Kenya, Congo DR, Guinea Bissau, Benin, Tanzania, Angola, Zimbabwe, Guinea, Uganda, Mali all made sure that they secure their tickets for tournament.

However, new entries like, Burundi, Mauritania, Madagascar, Namibia defied all odds during the qualifiers to seal their qualifications..
Meanwhile, Ghana find themselves in pot 1 which also consist of host Egypt, Tunisia, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Senegal. This means the four-time Champions will not be facing any of these teams at the Group stage.
Pot 2 has the likes of Morocco, Nigeria, Congo DR, Algeria, Mali and Guinea with Pot 3 having Uganda, South Africa, Guinea Bissau, Zimbabwe, Angola and Burundi.
